Hello! I am Pawan Sawant, I recently graduated with Masters in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Colorado Boulder, with specialization in Mechanical Design and Product Development. My passion lies in designing innovative mechanical systems and solving real-world engineering challenges.​

For my masters capstone project, I collaborated with Molon Labe Aircraft Seating to design 'Freedom Seat', an FAA-compliant aircraft seat enabling People with Reduced Mobility(PRMs) to comfortably fly in their wheelchairs. This revolutionary initiative focuses on enhancing air travel accessibility, allowing individuals to remain in their own wheelchairs during flights without compromising airline space or revenue.

Before my grad school, I worked at Bharat Electronics Ltd, where I worked on the development of Laser Range Finders for Defence and Aerospace applications. During my undergraduate studies, I led the Formula Student (FSAE) Suspension Department, where I developed expertise in CAD, FEA, and practical skills through prototyping and fabrication.​
